BEFFTA (Black Entertainment, Film, Fashion and Television and Arts) 2013 Awards Nomination Announcement unites known and unknown in the UK Nigerian entertainment industry.
Last night, the BEFFTA 2013 Awards nominees were announced in Mayfair, London. The atmosphere was one of shared excitement as attendees showed up looking dazzling but not knowing whether they would be nominated or not.
In the venue was a mixture of well known stars in the UK Nigerian entertainment industry such as Theodora Ibekwe, Yvonne Hays, Roseline Sanni, Fatima Jabbe, and upcoming stars such as Moe Logo and relatively unknown upcoming stars.
Once the nominations were announced, shock, surprise and pure joy filled the room as nominees heard their names called. Nominees included, D3 Dancers for Best Dance Act, Theordora Ibekwe for Best Producer, Edee Beau for best Make-Up Artist, Moe Logo for Best UK Afrobeats artist, May7ven for best unsigned artsist, DJA Media, SMADE and Cokobar will battle it out for Best Promoter and Michael Tubes is nominated for Best Photographer as well as Daniel Sync.
